the interior parts of the south island tend to be more dry. of course, you'd only have to drive a couple of hours to find a totally different climate. the variety of landscapes you can encounter over such a small area is really astounding.
Did you happen to find that giant fruit on your travels between Christchurch and Queenstown? If so, I have a photo of the very same fruit! Seems odd, doesn't it, that we found the same giant fruit intriguing enough to pull over and snap a shot?! Wishing you happy trails to travel upon, Hayden
della and tyson met in chicago. not long after, they left to wwoof their way through new zealand and visit australia before settling down in christchurch. then they took off for china. but now they live in berkeley.
